Here at Inked we spend a lot of time introducing you to amazing artists and reminding people that good work ain't cheap. If this Ray Liotta fan had only listened to us he wouldn't have been shamed in front of a national television audience.

During an appearance on Conan promoting his new show Shades of Blue, Liotta started telling the story of meeting an enormous fan at a Chipotle. First of all, before you are surprised that Liotta was eating at Chipotle remember that he did eat his own brains in Hannibal, the man has a strong stomach. After a great deal of fanfare from starstruck employees Liotta was shown the Goodfellas inspired tattoo (below). The actor's reaction? Let's just say if Henry Hill (Liotta), Jimmy Conway (Robert De Niro) and Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci) saw the ink they would likely be digging a hole to get rid of the fan.

The "portrait" tattoo of Liotta.

That's Liotta on the right, De Niro in the foreground. We think.

If this superfan had heeded our advice and gone to a good artist like Roman Abrego (top) or Robert Pho (bottom) the story wouldn't have been fodder for laughter on a late night show.

No one wants to look like an idiot in front of a celebrity they idolize, the embarrassment would be too much to bear. So next time you get a pop culture tattoo remember that the portrait is of a real person, a real person who could use your tattoo as a way to get folks laugh on a late night show. Go to a good artist and make sure that you have the kind of work to be proud of and you won't go through what this Liotta fan is undoubtedly going through this morning. Enjoy the clip below.
