Sometimes it can be a struggle to keep up with what is going on with the Kardashians, especially when trying to pinpoint what exactly is going on with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner and hip hop star Tyga. For months people have been speculating whether or not the two are a couple or if they are just friends. Finally it appears as if a definitive answer to that question has been tattooed onto Tyga’s arm for the whole world to see.
In a picture snapped while he met with fans a new tattoo is clearly visible on Tyga’s right arm and the meaning of the tattoo is clear as day—it says “Kylie.” You don’t really even need to read between the lines to know that a name tattoo is a clear indicator of a relationship. Friends do not get each other’s names tattooed on their arms, you only do that when you’ve moved well past the friend stage.
There is a long and checkered history involved with name tattoos. Some tattoo artists, like resident blogger Kyle Dunbar, consider the name tattoo to be the kiss of death for a relationship. Dunbar also asserts that not only will the name tattoo sour the current relationship but it will most definitely torpedo any future ones as well. Other artists, like one of our other resident bloggers Luke Wessman, think that getting a name tattoo is one of the most romantic gestures a person can make.
It remains to be seen how things will play out with Tyga’s recent statement of devotion, only time will tell. Normally we’d be interested to find out if Kylie reciprocated the tattoo love but since she’s only 17-years-old that wouldn’t be legal, now would it?
