Star Wars Fan Gets Episode VII Ink A Year Before Premiere

A lot of people have done some pretty outrageous things in the name of Star Wars fandom but few have shown the guts that Jordan Breckon has. In the tattoo equivalent of getting married on the first date, Breckon had one of the droids from the trailer forStar Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens within hours of seeing the 90-second clip.

The enormous Star Wars fan’s Instagram account is filled with pictures of Stormtroopers so we’re pretty sure this isn’t Breckon’s first ink related to the galaxy far, far away. The tattoo was done by Tyler Nealeigh of Black Lotus Tattooers in Gilbert, Ariz. Nealeigh has created a bit of a niche for himself doing Star Warstattoos, often giving them an American Traditional feel.

Considering that the trailer shows nothing of the droid other than it rolling along at breakneck speed Breckon is taking a leap of faith by committing to the tattoo. What if the droid ends up being a spectacularly reviled character like The Phantom Menace’s Jar Jar Binks? The film’s December 18th 2015 release date is still a long way off, Breckon has a lot of time to think of ways to cover up the ink if needed. As huge Star Wars fans ourselves we’re hoping he won’t have reason to.
