Roommate From Hell!
Briannna Brochu and Chennel “Jazzy” Rowe are both freshman at the University of Hartford. They were also roommates for a little over a month. That is until Rowe had enough of Brochu’s rudeness and got herself transferred out and into a different room with a new roommate. Unfortunately for Rowe she would find out that Brochu was more than just verbally rude and abusive.
After Rowe moved out Brochu boasted about poisoning her ‘Jamaican Barbie’ with a series of social media posts that outlined all the disgusting details of how and what she used to get her roommate to move out!
“It started with throat pain,” Rowe explained. “I thought maybe because it’s colder up here, I’m just catching a cold. After a month, it got to the point where I had extreme throat pain that I couldn’t sleep, to the point where I couldn’t speak.”
“I’m spending my own money that my parents give me for food and groceries, the health center on campus is not free – in fact they’re expensive.” She went on to explain that her tests would come back negative and she was prescribed antibiotics for the presence of bacteria in her throat. Rocky Relationship
The two had what would easily be termed a rocky relationship, however Rowe says in her video mentions that when Brochu walked in and turned off the lights while she was trying to do homework she decided that was the last straw and moved out.
The Infamous Post!
It was as she was leaving that she noticed Brochu’s incriminating Instagram posts.
Clam Dip Post
“Like this is moldy clam dip and I’ve been mixing it with her face lotion.”
This post shows the bloodstains from where Brochu wiped her bloody tampon on Rowe's bag.
Spit in Coconut Oil
A Snapchat video that aired on a local Fox News channel showed Brochu opening up Rowe’s jar of coconut oil with the intention of spitting in it.
The Coup de Gras
Brochu also admitted to sticking Rowe's toothbrush up her rectum.
Brochu was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison and a potential fine. Lieutenant Michael D. Perruccio, of the West Hartford Police Department will be requesting the court add the charge of 53a-181k, intimidation based on bigotry or bias to Ms. Broch’s case.
The University Speaks Out
College administration have announced that Brianna Brochu has been expelled from the University of Hartford. She will not be returning to the institution,” said President Greg Woodward.
“And let me be clear: the accused student’s behavior was reprehensible and does not reflect the values of our institution. Let me also be clear that I am confident the University has taken all steps to pursue this matter seriously, and will continue to do so."
