Brandon Cole "Bam" Margera, whose wild stunts and family pranks had entertained MTV for years, has been struggling with addiction for a long time.
Margera posted on Instagram that a third try at rehab is just what he needs.
The 39-year-old "Jackass" star posted that he will be checking himself in.
The caption on the photo of the pro-skater holding son, Phoenix Wolf, said: "Off to alcohol rehab for the 3rd time."
Margera has always been open about his problems with alcohol, and was arrested a year ago in Los Angeles for allegedly driving under the influence.
Soon after the arrest, he posted a photo thanking friend Johnny Schillereff for helping him check into rehab.
Back in 2016, the “Viva La Bam” star said he had to relearn his skateboarding tricks after years of abusing alcohol.
"I took a five year hiatus from skating because I had bone spurs, so instead I was making money by doing nightclub appearances, which basically was shooting photos and taking shots with the locals," Margera said. "So I was shitbag wasted every night, and eventually was like, 'This has to stop.'”
He added, “It didn’t help that I was 20 lbs overweight. I had to change my whole diet. Where I used to drink beer or Jack and Coke, it got substituted with water and sit-ups. Once I lost the weight, skating became fun and easy again.”
