Since summer of 2010, 26-year-old singer songwriter Demi Lovato has collected over twenty tattoos. She began her collection with a simple quote on her ribs at the age of 16 and over the years, has gained notoriety for her pieces which often acknowledge her struggles with mental illness, eating disorders, and addiction.
And while almost all of Lovato's tattoos have a significant meaning, yesterday she declared on Instagram that her newest piece was "the most meaningful tattoo I [sic] have ever gotten."
The tattoo Lovato is referring to is a portrait of her grandmother, which was inked by Los Angeles celebrity tattoo artist Dr. Woo. In the past, Lovato has gotten tattooed by a number of high profile artists, including Kat Von D, Bang Bang, and Winter Stone.
