On March 23rd, 2019 actress and philanthropist Denise DuBarry passed away at the age of 63. DuBarry was best known for her roles on The Love Boat, Black Sheep Squadron, ChiPs, and the Academy Award-winning film Being There.
In addition to her work on screen, DuBarry was highly recognized as a philanthropist and frequently worked with the non-profit Olive Crest, which helped at-risk and abused children.
Her death came as a great surprise to her colleagues, many of whom were unaware she'd been battling a fungal infection for the past two months. DuBarry's husband Bill Hay confirmed to the media that she'd passed away from a rare fungal infection and she spent her last living moments in the UCLA Medical Center.
