While many tattooers will admit to tattooing themselves during their apprenticeship, very few would attempt to ink themselves outside of this process. Tattooing yourself is an extremely tricky process and requires patience to be both the artist and the client at the same time. However, to celebrate twenty years in the industry, this artist decided to not only tattoo himself but one of the most challenging parts of the body.
In a photo posted to Instagram, San Jose tattooer Jim Miner shares that he's tattooed his face in honor of his twenty year anniversary as an artist. Over the course of twenty individual sessions, Miner creates a stunning masterpiece inspired by the fountain of youth on his face.
