If you were a child of the 1990s, you definitely remember the "Goosebumps" books. The original series, which consisted of 62 books, was published from 1992 to 1997 by American author R.L. Stine. Stine is often referred to as the Stephen King of children's literature and also published the "Fear Street" novels. Following the original series, several spin-off series have been released and there are currently a total of 235 "Goosebumps" books.
The first "Goosebumps" book to be published was "Welcome to Dead House" and featured cover art by Tim Jacobus, who's illustrated over 100 "Goosebumps " books. Some of the most popular "Goosebumps" books from the original series include 1993's "The Haunted Mask," 1993's "The Werewolf of Fever Swamp," 1994's "One Day at HorrorLand" and 1995's "A Night in Terror Tower."
There have been numerous adaptations of the "Goosebumps" books, including a television series which aired from 1995 to 1998 and a 2015 feature film starring Jack Black as Stine himself. There have also been many video games and comic books in the franchise.
