Before Ink Master and How Far is Tattoo Far took over our TV screens, tattoo television belonged to the holy trinity: Miami Ink, LA Ink, and NY Ink. And today, it's been at least six years since any of these programs first hit the air. So we're taking a brief walk down memory lane and checking out where your favorite TV tattooers wound up years after their stints on the silver screen. Ami James- Miami Ink, NY Ink
Following starring in both Miami and NY Ink, Ami James went on to co-found the website Tattoodo and today owns five tattoo shops around the world.
Chris Nunez- Miami Ink
Following his time on Miami Ink, Nunez went on to own Handcrafted Tattoo and Art Gallery in Fort Lauderdale and has appeared as a judge on Ink Master for the past 12 seasons.
Chris Garver-Miami Ink, NY Ink
Today, Chris Garver is a Japanese expert at Five Points Tattoo in New York City.
Darren Brass- Miami Ink
While Miami Ink ended over ten years ago, Brass continues to tattoo at Love Hate tattoos in Miami Beach.
Luke Wessman- Miami Ink
After television, Wessman went on to establish The Summer Town Inn, a private studio in Los Angeles.
Tim Hendricks-Miami Ink, NY Ink
Tim Hendricks currently works in Fullerton, California and created both Salt Water tattoo company and Toddler Tattoos.
Yoji Harada-Miami Ink, NY Ink
After NY Ink, Harada worked in the Netherlands until passing away on March 27th, 2019.
Kat Von D-Miami Ink, LA Ink
While Kat Von D continues to tattoo here and there, she's now known as the founder and CEO of Kat Von D Beauty and in November of 2018, gave birth to her first child with musician Prayers.
Corey Miller- LA Ink
Miller currently works in Upland, California at Six Feet Under Tattoo Parlor.
Hannah Aitchison- LA Ink
Aitchson currently works at Curiosity Shop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Kim Saigh- LA Ink
Saigh currently works at Memoir Tattoo in Los Angeles, California.
Nikko Hurtado- LA Ink
Appearing as a guest artist in Kat Von D's shop, Hurtado is a leader in the color realism genre and has inked big name celebrities such as The Rock. Today he tattoos at Black Anchor Collective in Hesperia, California.
Megan Massacre- NY Ink
One of the biggest breakout stars of NY Ink, Massacre currently co-owns NYC's Grit N Glory and went on the appear on Netflix's Bondi Ink.
Chris Torres- NY Ink
Torres currently tattoos at Clash City Tattoo in New York City.
Tommy Montoya- NY Ink
Montoya works at Klockwork Tattoo Club in Covina, California.
Rodrigo Canteras- NY Ink
Canteras currently works at Five Points Tattoo in New York City.
Billy DeCola- NY Ink
