Anime is without a doubt one of our absolute favorite subjects to choose tattoos from. I mean, there are so many exciting directions that you can go in—fantasy, action, adventure, horror, magical girl, etc.

And it's undeniable that one of the most popular and beloved anime of all time is "Naruto." "Naruto" was first published as a manga series in 1999. It was written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, who began reading manga at a young age. The series follows a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki who seeks to one day become the leader of his village. The story is split up into two distinctive time frames—Naruto as a pre-teen and Naruto as a teen. The original manga series was published from 1999 to 2014, with 72 novels in total.

"Naruto" premiered as an anime series in 2002. This series ran until 2007 and included 220 episodes. This series corresponds with part I of the manga and part II, "Naruto: Shippuden" premiered in 2007. This series followed Naruto as a teenager and ran until 2017, with 500 episodes. Over the years, there have also been numerous theatrical "Naruto" films, video games and collectable card games.
