36 Tattoos Celebrating the Best and Worst Parts of Summer
What's your favorite thing about summer?
While it may already feel like summer weather wise, June 20th is officially the first day of summer. This means that the days with be at their longest, the nights will be at their shortest and the mosquitos will be ready to bite anyone in sight. Many regard summer as their favorite season, due to the warm weather and days spent at the beach. I, on the other hand, feel differently.
Don’t get me wrong, I like summer and I’d take an 80 degree day over snow nine times out of 10. However, if you spend your summers in NYC, you’ll understand why it’s not my favorite. Picture this: it’s 85 degrees but feels like 100. You’re headed to work and the sun is already turning the pavement into a lava pit. The streets are a beautiful mixture of the smells of hot, rancid trash and copious amounts of dog pee. Then you have to spend an hour crammed in a sweaty, stuffy and insufferable subway car with no AC. Not exactly ideal.
Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, we’re here to share some of our favorite tattoos that remind us of summer. Whether positive or negative, these tattoos embody this season to tee. Take a look at the summer inspired tattoos in the gallery below, then let us know your thoughts on summer in the comments section on social media.
