25 Breathtaking Tattoos by Thomas Carli Jarlier
Even a glance at Thomas Carli Jarlier's work is enough to leave you entranced. When you get a tattoo by Jarlier, you're not only getting a portrait, you're in for so much more. Combining black and grey realism with splashes of colors and abstract graphics result in dark yet beautiful pieces. The South of France-based artist and owner of Noire Ink has a way of putting just the right amount of color into his pieces to bait your attention and then the life-like, realistic details reel you in.
Tattooing since the age of 20, Jarlier has been engulfed in the arts since a young age, and his artist mother, Elizabeth Carli, had a lot to do with that. His work is influenced by many artists, including Stéphane Chaudesaigues, who apprenticed Jarlier early on in his career. Other artists that Jarlier notes as influences include Dmitry Samohin, Matteo Pasqualin, Nikko Hurtado, Oleg Turyansky and Ink Master Season One winner, Shane O'Neill.
Catch Jarlier and his Noire Ink crew this weekend at the Milano Tattoo Convention. For those who can't make it to the convention to see his artwork in person, no worries, 'cause we've got you covered with a gallery of photos and videos of Jarlier's work.
