Brad Pitt May Be Removing His Tattoos Dedicated to Angelina Jolie

Brangelina Call It Quits ... Even the Ink's Gotta Go!

Now that we’ve all recovered from our shock over the heartbreaking Brangelina divorce, it’s time to find out what Mr. Pitt is going to do about all those weird tattoos he got for his ex-wife over the years. According to a report from The Hollywood Gossip, Brad Pitt plans to either cover up or completely remove his tattoo tributes to Jolie, which is either going to take a lot of extra ink or months of laser tattoo removal, neither of which sounds like an especially awesome solution … if he’s not a fan of long hours of pain, that is.

Calling Quits

Fans around the world were thrown for a loop when Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt and requested sole custody of their six children in September 2016, just days after the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services began an investigation into reports that Pitt had been physically abusive towards the couple’s oldest son, Maddox, aboard their private plane. Pitt has since admitted that his problematic drinking was a major factor in the divorce, and in January, the former power couple released a public statement indicating that they would be moving forward as a “united front.”

Declaration of Love in Ink

Speaking of a “united front,” both Pitt and Jolie have gone under the needle on numerous occasions during the course of their relationship, for permanent ink meant to tie them together physically and spiritually. According to reports, Pitt has Jolie’s birth date inked near his groin area, a tattoo featuring the geographical coordinates of Jolie’s birthplace, a cross tattoo on his arm dedicated to Jolie and their six children, and some “squiggles” on his back that Jolie drew on him while they were lying in bed together. On his ribcage, Pitt has a tattoo that reads, “We live, we die, we know not why, but I’ll be with you,” which was supposedly done in Jolie’s handwriting, and on his bicep, a piece that reads, “There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there.” As recently as last year, Pitt and Jolie were still adding to their extensive collection of couple’s tattoos, and ended up getting matching Thai Sak yant pieces in Cambodia that were meant to “symbolically bind them as husband and wife.”

It was all Downhill After the First Prick

Sadly, Pitt and Jolie’s lovey-dovey relationship tattoos did nothing to keep them from splitting up, and rumor has it, Jolie also plans on removing the tattoos she has dedicated to her ex-husband, including a risqué “Whiskey Bravo” piece tattooed on her inner thigh for the actor born William Bradley Pitt, the geographical coordinates of Pitt’s birthplace tattooed on her upper arm, and the massive Thai Sak yant tattoo on her back. If only someone had told those two that couple’s tattoos are the kiss of death of most relationships.
