The Scientific Point of View

Porn might have had its stigma in the past, and perhaps still does, but in all reality - we all enjoy it or at least are curious enough to watch it. According to a research done for the journal JAMA Psychiatry it says, "Research in the United States has shown that 66% of men and 41% of women consume pornography on a monthly basis. An estimated 50% of all internet traffic is related to sex."

Porn sites like Evil Angel, Burning Angel, PornHub, and Kink, just to name a few, make watching porn easier than ever. They offer a colorful collection in a variety of categories, and the most important thing - it’s free. Google alone has a variety of unfiltered and sometimes graphic pictures if you search "porn" under images. And surely, you can change that in your settings. However, porn is there and will never go away. Thanks to various sources online, you can say goodbye to the days where you had to be embarrassed by renting out a “gangbang” film or “girl-on-girl,” which in comparison to nowadays was pretty harmless.

Nevertheless, there’s still the argument about what porn actually does to us? Mentally and physically and what role it plays in our society. Is it degrading towards women? Or is it liberating and empowering? Does the new era of porn raise health concerns?

But if you look at it from the scientific point of view, porn can actually be good for you, for various reasons.
